Exquisite 19th Century Louis Philippe Mirror in Gold Gilt, showcasing a captivating ornate cartouche adorned with intricate foliage and grape motifs. France, circa 1850 - 1880s.
This stunning antique French mirror boasts the characteristic rounded upper corners that define the Louis Philippe style.
The mirror frame remains robust in structure, and the original antique mirror plate is intact within.
While the glass exhibits a charming foxing, it retains its reflective capability, allowing you to see yourself clearly.
The mirror has its original wooden back cladding. The original gilt finish of the frame is nicely worn, giving it great character.
While minor nicks, chips, and cracks consistent with its age can be observed upon close inspection, they contribute to the mirror's authentic character.

All of our vintage products show the rich beauty and history of their life with the knocks and bumps of many years of use. We restore our pieces so they will be clean and in a good working condition. However we try to minimise restoration to keep every piece as original as possible.
